Zimbabwe's First Lady Injures Her Ankle In "Freak" Car Accident

Madam Grace Mugabe who is wife of Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe has injured her ankle in a casual accident which was termed "freak car accident" by the officials.
The Zimbabwean first lady was according to report, to have injured her ankle immediately when she left the airport with her husband, President Robert Mugabe on Saturday after their arrival from Singapore.

Earlier, president Mugabe had been in Singapore on July 7, this year where he was receiving a medical check up which has also marked his third trip abroad with his wife since he became the president.

According to State Television ZBC, President Mugabe spokesman, George Charamba was quoted saying that the President's wife, Madam Grace had suffered some soft tissues bruise right on her right ankle after a "freak car accident" at the Harare International Airport.

ZBC said that the "freak car accident" happened when the president and his wife are set to leave the airport:

    "The accident occurred as the First Family was about to leave the airport for the residence."

ZBC added that immediately, the first lady was admitted at an hospital as she was accompanied by her daughter and son-inlaw but when she was discharged, she complained of pain from her right ankle:

    "At the time of her discharge, she complained of pain from the hurt ankle."
