Nigerian Economy Is Getting Out of Recession – Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun Says

The Nigerian Finance Ministry, which is headed by the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun have said in a brief interview with the Channels TV yesterday that ‘she thinks Nigerian Economy is getting out of Recession. She added that the current Economic statistics in the country is really bouncing off from recession.

She said, Nigeria is now on the path to sustainable economic growth:

    “I think we are getting out of recession. All the statistics seems to suggest that but more importantly, we are getting on the path of growth that will be sustainable so we can see a future for Nigeria”.

She added that, in her own view, Nigeria is now far better than how the country’s economic situation had been handled by the former administration and the problems of recession was inherited from them:

    “I think it is getting better. We inherited a lot of problems. The Nigerian economy didn’t just need a little bit of fix here and there but needed radical surgery and to heal it will take a little bit longer.”
