Google Announced Certified Android Devices

*Google Announced โ€˜Certified Android Devices *

To feature the Play Store โ–ถ and run Google’s first-party apps ๐Ÿ“ฑ, Android manufacturers have always had to meet certain requirements.

Announced ๐Ÿ”Š via its India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ blog (though live internationally), there doesn’t seem to be anything particularly new about Google’s ๐ŸŒ certification process for Android devices.

It still meets the same goals of ensuring device performance ๐Ÿ‘โ€‹ security, as well as allowing for the pre-installation of Google apps and the Play Store: Google ๐ŸŒ provides certification ๐Ÿ‘โ€‹ for Android devices ๐Ÿ“ฑ to make sure users receive secure ๐Ÿ” and stable experiences.

However, Google๐ŸŒ is now better advertising this certification to likely distinguish from devices that just fork Android, which is a more common occurrence in developing marketsโ€ผ

A key part of this new initiative is Google Play Protect, which recently began rolling out and itself just better showcases long-existing security tools on the OS.
