Africa’s Richest, Dangote Want To Establish A World-class University in Nigeria
The richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote has, according to report, to have submitted a proposal to the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) in order to establish a world lass university in the country.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, the former Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC), Julius Okojie is the leader of the Technical team for the establishment of Dangote University in Nigeria.
Julius Okojie was together with his team members at the current Executive Secretary of NUC, Abubakar Rasheed’s habor where Okojie pleaded the current secretary and the commission to support the anticipating establishment of Dangote University in Nigeria.

Julius Okojie said the anticipating Dangote university Main focus is to drive technology and research which will in turns promote Nigeria’s economy growth.
The current secretary of the Nigerian Universities Commission, Abubakar Rasheed have nothing to do than to support the team. He applauded Okojie and the rest of the team for the job well-done and promised to assist the team in order to actualize their goal.
Rasheed advised that the team should reconsider establishing a university of technology because, there are alot of universities who based on technology advancement but, their programmes has not be fruitful.
He added that the team should establish Dangote university in Nigeria with specialties in technology which will he very advantageous to this country, Nigeria. He also said that proper and good research universities should bd consulted outside and within the country.
Rasheed concluded that having specialties and consulting good and standard research universities within and outside the country will give a very proper view to establish a standard university which will be unique in terms of quality among other universities.
Zouera Yousouffou, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Dangote University technical team said they are ready to make their goal comes true.
He added that land which will be used for the construction of the university has been acquired and the sum of N200 billion has been earmarked for the project.
