EFCC Prepares To Testify Against Former Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, Kola Aluko & Jide Omokore in US and UK
The war between the EFCC and the former minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke is not yet over. The Economic Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has set to testify against the former minister and other oil business men, Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko in United States and United Kingdom.
According to reports, the EFCC had forwarded a further and well-detailed evidence to the United states justice Department and also to the United Kingdom National Crime Agency with an intention to claimed that the sum of $1.6 billion was stolen by the former petroleum resources minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke and his fellow defaulters, Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore.
After two months as Kola Aluko was having close meeting with some Top Nigerian oil officials to discuss a certain contract, he planned to purchase two properties close to London’s Regent Parks: a £1.7m house at 39 Chester Close and 58 Harley House on the Marylebone Road for £2.8m resulting to £4.5m spent only on foreign properties.
Prosecutors from United States have also seized some assets worth $144m which includes a Manhattan condominium and a 200-foot yatch which one of it was blocked from central park with a name tag as Fruits of an international bribery scheme that involved the former Nigeria’s Petroleum Resources minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The United states Justice Department investigations also targeted Kola Aluko’s Vessel Galactica Star which the buiders who constructed believed to be the “world largest, fast displacement yatch” alongside with Condominium units in Manhattan and a real estate in south California which is located just 3 miles away from pacific ocean.
