Federal High Court Retained Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State For Arresting Audu Makori
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has been retained by a Federal High Court of Law sitting in Abuja today for arresting or detaining Audu Maikori, a media entrepreneur and the founder of Chocolate City record label. The federal Court has issued an interim order in the case of Maikori and the Inspector General of Police, IGP till the time when the charges and hearing of human rights violations suit filed by Audu Maikori will be determined or settled.
The interim order was issued by Justice John Tsoho earlier this day asking Governor Nasir El-Rufai and his entourage who are the “Respondents” to file their defense against the #10billion law suit brought against the respondents by Audu Maikori stating on violating his human rights.
On May 2017, the chocolate city boss, Audu Maikori filed a N10billion lawsuit against Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai for Gross violation of his rights.
Yesterday, a statement was published about Governor Nasir El-Rufai by Shehu Sani who described the governor as the “Judas” and enemy of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government of change. (click here to Read)
According to some Nigerians while reacting to Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s current news everyday on both the internet and the Newspapers, he is described as a notorious governor who think that being persistent will make his position as a governor so firm. On oral description, they said Nasir El-Rufai is trying to make himself a public and well respected public figure whereas, it turn out sour for him.
